There have been recent studies to test the effectiveness of laser treatment to cure acne outbreaks.  The study shows great promise in that 100% of the group achieved a clearing of acne when topicals were used in conjunction with the laser treatment.  No one in the control group achieved these results. 

Acne can be from mild to severe in form and it effects the sufferer negatively emotionally as well as physically.  There is a great deal of embarrassment when you are suffering an acne outbreak.  In addition, for our young teenagers it can be a very stressful time for them, as kids are known to be cruel and will often tease and make fun of others with acne issues.

It was noted during the study that those receiving the laser treatments also had a lessening of their acne scars.  This is wonderful news for the individuals that suffer horrible scaring from serious acne outbreaks.

The cost of the treatments is not yet known but for those that have the scaring and the current acne problems it will probably not much matter.  What is a clear face worth to you 

There are so many acne treatments available today that it is hard to decide which ones to try.  You will likely have to try several before you find one that works well for you.  If the laser treatments do as well as the study seems to indicate then there will be an alternative to traditional topical treatments.
