Hard hitting stop smoking ads

Submitted by admin on Tuesday, 29 April 20088 Comments

Smoking used to be cool, that was until everyone figured out that it wasn’t – and that it has the unfortunate side effect of killing you.

However, by that point the misinformation was out there and there were many people who it was too late for, already hooked on cigarettes. The following anti-smoking ads are a mixture of the hard hitting, the sad and the thought provoking. Hopefully they’ll have the intended effect.

When i look at the ads for the stop smoking or don’t do drugs i wonder who on earth are these ads for – what target market
    Its an industry
They give people jobs who are clueless
They create ads that they think are great but are of totally little value for the kids who they are trying to prevent doing whatever the vice is
Its sort of like giving a person who has never had more than one beer a job as a counselor who deals withs serious alcoholics
Good for you for finding these purposeful ads

I smoke about 15-20 cigrattes per day. After going through the above images, I doubt whether I continue to smoke or not. For me the effect of anti-smoking ads alreday started. Thanks! Here, I would like to discuss about the current hot topic Medical Tourism and it’s health risks. Now-a-days lot of people are talking about “Medical Tourism”. But my views on medical tourism are rather mixed. I had one friend who received heart surgery in India with no complaints. Another friend had plastic surgery in Thailand and didn’t enjoy it. Thus there is mixed response for this new Industry. Anyhow…thanks once again for the Article and Ads.

Wow – those are some pretty hard-hitting and impressive campaigns. One of the most sure ways to ensure that you live to a ripe old age is to not smoke, or quit smoking.

Totally awesome adds, It’s about time. I used to see that lung with the tar all over it everywhere on posters when I was growing up. Never see it anywhere anymore and was wondering why
I never see anything to educate people or discourage smoking besides talking. A picture is worth a thousand words.
going to print images for my husband who is a smoker.
Thanks for putting it out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You wonder what possesses people to start the smoking habit in the first place. However smoking among the young is on the increase especially in the UK.

No end of advertising seems to deter them from starting. All we can do is give as much help and advice to get them to kick the habit before it is too late

Your site is the most heart wrenching site I have seen in the last two days while looking for anti smoking, drink/drug driving ads for a talk for a friend.

Smoking is big business and so is the quitting smoking – who is it trying to help? Why do i think they are just out to make money.
